COMPETING

Road cycling builds fitness, friendships, and confidence, shaping young lives on and off the bike. Our challenge—and one we're excited to tackle—is to make safe, structured racing accessible for more teens and their families, overcoming barriers like mid-week traffic, gear affordability, and the need for cycling know-how.

Store launch

Christchurch Schools Racing was created to provide Years 7–13 students with affordable, structured, and accessible weekly racing. With professional traffic management, accurate electronic timing, committed volunteers, and a supportive community, every student can experience the thrill of competitive cycling—without the hefty price tag.

RACING

  • Safety First – Certified traffic plan, first-aid crew, marshals every junction.

  • Weekly Progress – Instant results and season points keep motivation high.

  • Affordable Entry – Low fees, loaner bikes and donated kit lower the barrier.

  • Pathway to Bigger Goals – From club champs to National Schools Champs, this is where it starts.

  • Run by Cyclists – 100 % volunteer-powered; we know what good racing feels like.

“These Wednesday races lit the fire for our son — he’s fitter, more resilient and can’t wait for each week.” – Sarah T., Lincoln High parent
